Ohio University Comes To A Calming Educated Place To An Outburst Attack

On November 28, 9:50 A.M, (18-year-old) Abdul Razak Artan, woke up in the morning and posted on Facebook that he was on twitter on how he has reached his "breaking point" and referred to "lone wolf attacks" from deceased Anwar al-Awlaki. He also posted, "America! Stop interfering with other countries, especially Muslim Ummah [community]. We are not weak. We are not weak, remember that,". Two hours later he said, "Forgive and forget. Love." That morning Abdul went to his school, Ohio State, and while in his car he ran over a a group people, said got out of the car, stabbed people who ran past by with a butcher knife he also bought that morning leaving 11 people inured in total.

After his actions at the university, six people were hit by the car and five had gotten stabbed. Then the police surrounded him and wanted him to put his weapons down. By Officer Alan Horujko (28 years old), Artan was killed after not listening to instructions on stopping. And putting the knife down. The university remained on lock down for an hour so students could be taken to a safe place for who didn't have time enough to go into a room to hide in.

Ohio policemen said it was too early to know what made up his mind to do this . But what they do know is that he actions couldn't have been an accident. According to The New York Times Article, it states, "Chief Craig Stone of the Ohio State University police said, "This was done on purpose," "To go over the curb and strike pedestrians and then get out and start striking with the knife--- that was on purpose."

Investigators has not found any evidence on if Artan's actions were connected to race beliefs from himself or a group. Also, they hadn't found any thing that could've shown if a terrorist group could be taken for responsibility of his actions while they put the information online for the public. Both the car-ramming and knife attacks were identified as signs of aggression from the Islamic State.

Things like this often happen almost every year. An attacker in Nice, France, used a delivery truck to hit dozens on citizens in July. Also in Würzburg, Germany a man and his Islamic state handler said that he was told to use a car to attack people just like what happened in Nice. The man didn't drive due to not having a driving permit, which drew him to attacking people with an axe.

''Tis the season... for gifts!

The best gift I can recall that I have gotten for Christmas is a electric razor scooter. It's A scooter made by razor that goes by itself while on it. I liked it because I was tired of my regular razor scooter that I had because it wasn't fun anymore and it was worn out. I used the electric scooter all the time throughout the summer and spring until one time during a year I had lost the charger and that's when I couldn't use it anymore. This year, I don't know really what I want for Christmas but what I am focusing on is getting a Camera because since I want to be a photographer when I'm older. I want to be ready for when I go to Columbia College of Chicago by having a  a portfolio of pictures all during high school and middle school to show what can full fill my future.  In the past I haven't really given presents to anybody due to being broke all the time, but this year I'm planning on giving my sister I  found at JCPenney's. The  The bracelet shows a symbol of what is being a sister like and it also has another chain for what it's like to have a sister. I have this idea from the same bracelet I got from my mother on my birthday except it was a daughter bracelet and it was just like this is the one. The brand of the bracelet has all types of things like that but I don't remember what the brand is. I have never given my sister a Christmas present before because I never really thought I would need to give her one. But, throughout these years, I feel terrible for not giving her one gift and I feel like this will make up for it and develop a stronger sibling relationship between us. I believe my sister would be surprised and grateful at the same time because how Ive reacted to family problems throughout the years, she probably would have never thought of me thinking of someone else before myself. I think this act of kindness will generate my family's opinion on me because I think that they probably believe that I'm selfish which I would understand but I'm tired of them thinking that way and I really want to change it because it's caused  and causing so many problems.  I also think that doing this wouldn't make me feel so mortified of my actions through the family after I think of what I have done. This is totally a lesson for everyone tpfow who has problems like me or people who know others have problems like me so maybe others can act like this and also develop a better future.

Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda

The book that I read was called, "Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda", by Becky Allbertalli. This book was about a boy named Simon who is a junior in high school. Throughout this year, he has figured out that he is gay and finds a interesting profile that caught his eye on Tumblr. The profilers name on Tumblr was Blue and Simon's was Jacques. Throughout the summer and the begginning of the school year they emailed eachother every week about their problems and themselves, not even knowing who that other person is. But one day, Simon used a library computer to send Blue an email. Simon was very nervous for he didnt want anyone knowing what they have been talking about and that he was gay. But on the way there one of his classmates, Martin Addison follows him and sees the email.  Once Simon was done sending the message he hurried out the library not even noticing he didnt sign out of his account. Martin goes up to the computer and screen shots every email Blue and Simon had ever sent each other and the confessions on how Blue and Simon is gay. The next day, Martin and Simon meet and Martin plans on blackmailing Simon just so he can help him date Simon's best friend Abby. I like this book because, it really talks about realistic problems that occur in a teenage life. Basically, this book is realistic fiction because if you were to think about a situation like this it would most likely happen in this way just because how I see the teenage life has turned out to be in certain individuals. I recommend this book to people who like to read realistic fiction or likewise situations to the teenage life because it really connects and makes the ready think how it would feel to be or know someone in that position, to understand problems for people like Simon.

Story Behind My Name

The story behind my name. I always wonder more about my name. What it means, why my parents chose it, does it even seem like a name I should be called. I think about my name so much probably because I'm just not used to it just yet. My name, Kailah, means who is like god. In my culture/religion, no one could be like god. But to me, others can be a way god expects us to be.  I love my name because I like how it isn't really a name used. Often if people do have my name it's spelled like "Kayla". My name is total different. I also love it because it sounds beautiful, unique, and unoriginal all at the same time. My parents named me Kailah because they ugh it was a pretty name. I guy at my Mom's job has a daughter that is Kayla and when my mom was looking for names she liked it even though the mans daughter was a little rambunctious. My parents also picked it because they named my sister Kenedy and they wanted my name to start with a "K" like hers. They didn't like the other K names except for Kayla and spelled it differently.

Favorite Quote

My favorite quote I've heard is, " We  bring the rain down on our enemies, not the scattered  quote is from Paper Towns and I like it because to me and in experience when I get back someone it's never softer with less force. I believe that if someone hurts you physically or mentally you can get back at them in either a good way or bad way but hit them harder. Someone should never be the person to take something out of ignorance and receive because if you do all that person is going to do is repeatedly do it back until you break. The original quote was not put here because it has a inappropriate word.

I Believe Speech

In my ELA class we are doing I Believe speeches. The speeches are supposed to be about what do we believe in and why based off of our person...
